So after something a little older yesterday, here's something brand new: A rear mounted MXT Transaxle with a Clutch/Starter package installed on the front.
This is a 6-Speed Sequential, Paddle-Shift version of the modular M(F/X)T series and is perfect for those high-Power/Torque front-engine, rear-wheel-drive applications.
It's rated to 880 NM/650 FT-LBS of Torque for Endurance racing. As always this is a conservative rating from us, allowing customers to really asses the effectiveness of a product over a high duty-cycle in long events, rather than the "flash in the pan" failure rating often seen advertised today. So will it take far more Torque than this in short bursts? YES!
Putting the Clutch/Starter on the front of the Transaxle, rather than the engine, improves vehicle weight distribution. On the subject of weight the entire assembly comes in around 90kg, depending on the type of clutch used (we have several options). The Transaxle alone weighs in the mid 70kg's depending on options.
