After what has literally been years in the making the first championship round of S5000 has been run and won! We'd like to offer a huge congratulations to Thomas Randle on his win, after what he has been though on a personal level lately it couldn't happened to a more deserving person. Big congrats to to Tim Macrow on finishing 2nd after a great comeback, along with Nathan Herne Racing in 3rd after another great comeback! We've been involved in this project from the start and our role has only grown along the way, thanks to the trust Garry Rogers Motorsport has placed in us as a manufacturing partner. We couldn't be happier with the end result, bring on Philip Island! Make sure you get down there on the 20/21 of Feb if you can, you won't regret it! #s5000 #mft #holingertransaxle

A nice run down here on a car that has seen many changes over the years and still races competitively. It's nice to see that our RD6 gearbox has been in the car for 14 years with minimal changes to it. That's what we're all about. Supplying parts that can be used for years, serviced and repaired when needed. #holinger #rd6 #quality

The RD6 gearbox has been bolted to the Judd V10 and installed into the Supra chassis. Check out Ryan's latest episode, it gives a great insight into performing an engine and gearbox swap into a chassis that was never made for either. Great work guys! We can't wait to hear it! If you haven’t been keeping up with Ryan’s build, now’s a great time to start. He’s edging closer to a gearbox installation and shows a little bit of the typical measuring work and collaboration required between us and the customer for a project like this, from one side of the world to another. Porsche Transaxles have been a huge part of our product range for ~ 2 decades or more. Originally we made kits for the OEM cases, the 997 Porsche Cup cars being the largest part of this. Nowadays we are of course suppling complete Transaxles based on our MFT/MXT range. To demonstrate how modular this design is, we have a direct bolt-in replacement MFT for a 997 Cup Car on the left, then a special version for an AWD 996 on the right. Note the front drive flange which sends power to the front wheels. The ratio in this AWD version has been specially design to match the OEM front diff in the 996. #holinger #transaxle #porsche #997 #996 #mft

Whilst there were some teething problems, it was great to see Rob Dahm and his monster AWD RX7 get a run against the legendary Hoonicorn. Rob's car uses our RD6-STC gearbox which is then adapted to an R32 GTR Skyline AWD system. Take a look if you haven't already:

We posted a basic picture showing this MXT transaxle a few weeks ago, but here it is in more detail. It’s going into a Resto-Mod Ford GT40 replica. The pattern on the front allows the use of the original Bellhousing and a particularly special feature of this one is our new Dual-Shift option. This means you can have Paddle-Shift and Lever-Shift simultaneously, without the drawbacks usually found. This is achieved with a ratchet mechanism that only allows the Gear-Lever to move when the driver pulls or pushes it. When the Transaxle is shifted pneumatically the Lever in the cabin remains stationary, meaning minimal inertia and resistance is present when in Paddle-Shift mode. In this particular car it’ll give the driver the option of driving in a more nostalgic, physical way, but then even allow fully automatic gear changes for other more relaxed times. #holinger #transaxle #mxt #gt40 #restomod

Blast from the past! Today we finished off a proper, period-correct H6S-DVM gearbox, which was a prototype of sorts for the Bathurst 24-Hour winning Holden Monaro built by Garry Rogers Motorsport. GRM are building a 3rd car currently to honour the original 2 pictured and commissioned us to make the gearbox just as it was back in 2002/3. The H6S-DVM gearbox was crossed between the V8 Supercar unit of the time and the Dodge Viper Sequential gearboxes we were also producing for GT racing. Essentially a prototype/precursor to the RD6 which we still produce regularly today......#bathurst24 #monaro #GRM
